An Executive Interview is a long-form conversation about a leader's journey: the decisions, the people, the innovation, and the lessons they would want the next generation to have. It is recorded at The Legacy Room, edited by a professional editor, reviewed by the guest, and then published in full with short executive segments for those with less time.

How an interview happens

Invitation
Guests are invited after a considered review of their work and standing. Participation is complimentary; nothing is sold.

Preparation
Clara Vanine agrees the arc of the conversation with the guest. Questions are available on request; the exchange itself is unscripted.

The recording
Sixty to ninety minutes at The Legacy Room with a small crew. Guests may bring staff. Nothing is live.

Review and release
The guest receives the full video, the short segments, the transcript, and the draft announcement, and confirms before anything is published.
FOR GUESTS AND THEIR OFFICES
What a guest can expect, in writing.
This section exists so that a guest, a chief of staff, or counsel can understand exactly how a conversation is conducted before agreeing to one.
Selection
Guests are invited after a deliberate review of their public record and their standing with the people they serve. The Forum accepts no payment for appearances and invites no one to promote a product, a fund, a book, or a campaign.
Editorial control
Nothing is published without the guest's confirmation. Short segments follow the same rule and are never cut in a way that changes a guest's meaning.
Discretion
What is said before and after the recording is not repeated. Guests are not named on this site or in promotion without written agreement.
What is asked in return
Candor, and the time to give a real answer.
